 Today I’m going to talk about buying new clothes. I like to buy my clothing in different places: at the shopping malls, the boutiques, the clothing stores, the flea markets, the garage sales and even to my neighbor, because she sells clothing and stuff, and I can pay her slowly.

 

What outfits do I buy in those places I mention above? Well, I enjoy shopping many garments, depends the season of the year and the predominant fashion. For example in the winter I love to buy a scarf, a jacket, jeans, an umbrella and a baseball cap. For the summer, because it’s hot, I usually buy a T-shirt, a blouse, a dress, a hat, a pair of shorts, a miniskirt and sandals. For the fall I shop for sneakers, a suit, a tie, a belt and shoes. The furniture are the movable articles that are used to make a room, house or building suitable for living or working in, such as tables, chairs, or desks. Furniture makes our lives easier and more comfortable. In the bedroom we can see beds, rugs, night tables, lamps, and a mirror. In the bathroom there are toilets, sinks, showers, bathtubs, mirrors, curtains. In the kitchen we can have sinks, cabinets, stoves. In the living room there are doors, windows, curtains, radio, TV, sofa, paintings. In the dining room we have table and chairs. We use all these furniture in our house or apartment all the time and thanks to them we can do many house chores and activities faster and effortless.

We use the Present continuous or present progressive to describe something which is happening at the exact moment of speaking:

Formation (To BE + ING)

 

The present continuous is formed using the simple present form of the auxiliary verb to be (am-is-are) together with the present participle (ING) of the main verb. The formation of the present continuous is given below, using the verb play as an example:

We use the How much is? How much are? When we want to know the PRICE ($) of something (food, clothing, books, etc).

In this case we can use How much is? For uncountable nouns (milk, butter, cheese, water, sugar, soda, bread, mustard, mayonnaise…) or a countable noun that is in singular (apple, carrot, potato, pencil, skirt, cap, book, dress, table, car, ball, sandwich…)
