Part 2:  Are you married or single?

1.-  Are you married or single? (ar iu merid or síngol):

¿Eres casado o soltero?

- € I’m single.  (am singol )

Soy soltero.

2.  - Are you single? (ar iu singol ):

¿Eres soltero?

- No, I’m not. I’m married. (nou, am nat. am merid )

No yo no. Yo soy casada.

3. - Is your brother married? (is ior broder merid):

¿Está tu hermano casado?

-€ No, he isn’t. But he has a girlfriend.

(no ji isent. Bat ji jas a gerlfrend)

No, él no está. Pero él tiene una novia.

- What does his girlfriend look like?

(ua das jis gerfrend luk laik)

¿Cómo luce su novia?.

-€ Richard’s girlfriend is pretty. (Richards gerfriend is priri)

La novia de Richard es bonita.

4.  - Are you divorced? I never see your husband.

(ar iu divorst. Ai never sii ior josband ):

¿Eres divorciada? Yo nunca veo a tu esposo.

- No, I’m not. I’m widowed. He died last year.

(nou, am nat. am uidoud. Jii daid last iar )

No yo no. Soy viuda. El murio el año pasado.

Part 3: Is your boyfriend tall? (is ior boifrend tol): ¿Es tu novio alto?

Los adjetivos en el idioma Inglés son invariables:

No sufren cambio de género (masculino y femenino)

o de número (singular o plural).

.

* Fíjate bien como el adjetivo

Ugly en inglés nunca varia,

pero en español Feo si se dan

cambios de género y número

1.  –  Is his niece beautiful? (is jis niis biurifol):

¿Es su sobrina es bonita?

 - I’m not sure. She looks plain to me.  

(am nat shuer. Shi luks plein tu mi):

No estoy seguro. Ella luce ni fea ni bonita para mí.

2. – Are they young? (ar dei iong)

¿Son ellos jovenes?

- € No, they aren´t. They are old. (nou, dei arent. Dei ar ould):

No, no lo son. Son viejos.

3-  –€ are you hungry? Do you wanna eat something?

 (ar iu jongri? Du iu uana iit somzing )

¿Estás hambriento? ¿Quieres comer algo?

-  Yes, I do. But I’m also thirsty. I wanna drink carrot juice.

 (ies, ai du. Bat am olsou zersti. Ai uana drink kerat yus):

Si. Pero también estoy sediento. Quiero beber jugo de zanahoria.

-  No, I don’t have any kid. (no, ai don jaf eni kid):

No, no tengo niños.

2.  How many kids do you have? (jao meni kids du iu jaf )

¿Cuántos niños tu tienes?

- € I have 4 children. (ai jaf for children ):

Tengo 4 niños.

 How many daughters do you have? (jao meni dorers du iu jaf)

¿Cuántas hijas tu tienes?

-€ I have 3 girls and one boy.  (ai jaf zri gerls en uan boi)

Tengo 3 hijas niñas y un chico.

3.  –  How many brothers and sisters do you have?

(jao meni broders en sisters du iu jaf):

¿Cuántos hermanos y hermanas tu tiene?

 - I don’t have any. I’m an only child

(ai don jaf eni. Am an onli chaild):

Yo no tengo. Yo soy hija única.

1. - Who’s that? (jus dat)  - ¿Quien es esa?

 How old is she? (jao old is shi )

     ¿Qué edad tiene ella?

-€ Lucy is 5 years old. She is a sweet little girl.

      (luci is faif iars ould. Shi is a suit lirol gerl )

      Lucy tiene 5 años de edad. Ella es una niñita  dulce.

-  I can see that. May God bless her!  (ai ken sii da. Mei Gad bless er)

        Ya veo. !Que Dios te la bendiga!

2. - How old are you? (jao ould ar iu) - ¿Qué edad tienes?

- € I am 35 years old. (ai em zeri-faiv iars ould):

        Tengo 35 años de edad.

- When were you born? (uen uer iu born)

        ¿Cuándo naciste?

-€ I was born in 1974, in Spain.  (ai uos born in naintin-sevenifor, in spein )

       Yo nací en 1974, en España.

-  So you can speak Spanish too. (sou iu ken spiik Spanish tu)

        Así que puedes hablar español también.

3. - How old is his nephew? (jao ould is jis nefiu)

           ¿Qué edad tiene su sobrino?

- € I really don’t know. I think he’s 8. (ai rili don nou. Ai zink jiis eit):

         Realmente no sé.  Yo creo que él tiene 8.

- And his parents. How old are they? (en jis parents. Jao ould ar dei)

        Y sus padres, ¿Qué edad tienen ellos?

-€ His mother is 65, but his father died at the age of 71.

        (jis moder is 65, bat jis father daid at di eich of sevendi-uan )

      Su madre tiene 65, pero su padre murió a la edad de 71 años.

-  Oh, I didn’t know that. (o, ai diren nou dat)

        O, no sabía eso.
